Welcome to Bible Arena, developed and published by Grisha Pipoyan (operating as Nineveh Studios) ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you to manage your account, operate our matchmaking system, and provide a competitive gaming experience.
A. Personal Data You Provide to Us
When you register for an account using Google Login or Apple Login, we collect information that identifies you, including:
- Profile Information: Your email address (via Apple/Google authentication), chosen username, first name, last name, and region/country and initial avatar selection. (Note: Usernames cannot currently be changed within the App. To request a username change, please reach out to us using the details in the "Contact Us" section below).
- Referral Data: If you register using a promotional referral code, or if your code is utilized by another player, we process and store the connection between your accounts to distribute virtual currency rewards and automatically establish in-game friend connections.
- Social Information: Your friends list, pending friend requests, and blocked users.
- Bible Reader Data: To provide seamless cross-device synchronization, we securely store your custom bookmarks, highlights, color preferences and personal notes you create within the Bible reader.
- Customer Support: Information you provide when submitting bug reports, including messages regarding app issues.
- Gaming Service Data: When your device connects to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services, we collect your unique Player ID and nickname to manage your placement on global leaderboards and track your earned achievements.
B. Game Data & Analytics (Collected Automatically)
To operate the game and ensure fair competition, our servers automatically track and store data related to your gameplay:
- Progression & Economy: Your current level, total XP, and virtual currency balances (Gold, Diamonds, Energy).
- Matchmaking & Performance: Your Matchmaking Rating (MMR), win/loss records, win/loss streaks, and match history.
- Gameplay Statistics: Detailed metrics on your performance, including your accuracy in specific biblical categories and a memory buffer of your recently seen questions.
- Activity Data: Daily login streaks, weekly activity patterns, and timestamps of your last played matches.
- App Performance Data: We collect technical metrics such as app launch time, network request latency, and screen rendering speed to ensure the App remains fast and responsive.
C. Device and Technical Data
- Push Notification Tokens: We securely collect Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to send you match challenges, friend requests, and reward notifications.
- Device Information: We collect basic diagnostic data (e.g., OS version, device model, hardware specifications, and network connection type) automatically to monitor app stability and performance across different devices.
- Device Identifiers for Fraud Prevention: We collect specific hardware identifiers (such as the iOS Identifier for Vendor or Android ID) to maintain account integrity, enforce our Fair Play rules, and prevent fraud—specifically the abuse of our referral and reward systems. This hardware data is not used to track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
D. Financial and Transaction Data
We do not process or store your raw credit card information. All purchases are handled securely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We collect transaction receipts and entitlement data via our payment processor (RevenueCat) to grant you virtual currency and manage Bible Arena Victor subscriptions.
E. Device Permissions (Camera) Bible Arena may request access to your device's camera exclusively for the purpose of scanning QR codes to quickly add friends. This scanning process occurs entirely locally on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit any image, video, or camera data to our servers or any third parties.
2. Public Data and Community Visibility
Due to the competitive and social nature of Bible Arena, certain data is publicly visible to other logged-in users of the App. By participating in the game, you acknowledge that other players can view your:
- Username, first name, last name, initial avatar selection, and chosen region.
- Account creation date.
- Premium subscription status (Bible Arena Victor).
- Current Level and Matchmaking Rating (MMR).
- Win/loss statistics, category performance breakdowns, and weekly activity graphs.
- Unlocked inventory items and customization milestones (such as purchased or earned avatars).
Your private data—such as your virtual currency balances (Gold, Diamonds, Energy), push notification tokens, email address, inbox messages, private match answers, and security logs—remains strictly confidential and is not accessible to other users.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf:
- Google Cloud / Firebase: For database hosting, authentication, backend logic, and push notifications. We also use Firebase Performance Monitoring to collect technical metrics that help us optimize the App's speed and reliability.
- Google Analytics: For monitoring app usage, performance, and user behavior trends.
- Firebase Crashlytics: For collecting technical diagnostic data (such as stack traces and device state) to identify and fix app crashes.
- RevenueCat: For processing in-app purchases and managing premium entitlements.
- Google AdMob: For serving reward-based video advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads.
- Apple Game Center: For managing global leaderboards, social challenges, and achievement tracking on iOS devices.
- Google Play Games Services: For managing global leaderboards and achievement tracking on Android devices.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active.
- Account Deletion Process: You have the right to delete your account at any time. You can do this by navigating to Settings > Delete Account within the App. Upon submitting a deletion request, your account, gameplay statistics, and social data will be instantly and permanently deleted from our servers. This action is irreversible. We may retain certain transaction records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
Please note: To protect the game's economy and prevent fraud (such as repeatedly deleting an account to claim referral bonuses), we may retain a hashed, anonymized record of your Device Identifier even after your account is deleted.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)
Bible Arena is a competitive game featuring social interactions and third-party advertising. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable legal age without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
6. Regional Privacy Rights
- European Economic Area (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict processing, and request data portability.
- California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to request access to the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you and request that we delete your information.

7. International Data Transfers
Grisha Pipoyan (operating as Nineveh Studios) operates globally from Yerevan, Armenia. Information we collect may be stored and processed in any country where we or our third-party providers maintain facilities. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different data protection rules.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document and providing a notice within the App.
